The City of Jacksonville City Attorney’s office provides legal advice, representation, and other services to the City Council, Directors, and various City entities so that they may reach the goals of the City Council and Directors to enrich the lives of the citizens and maximize growth of the City.

The City Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecution of excessively truant juveniles and their parents/guardians as outlined by Arkansas State law (ACA § 6-18-201) Pulaski County Special School District Student Handbook allows a maximum of Six (6) excused absences. When a student with Five (5) unexcused absences, his/her parents/guardian will be notified, once a student exceeds Five (5) unexcused absences the District will notify the City Attorney and the parent/guardian. The City Attorney's Office is responsible for the prosecution of most DWI/DUI, traffic and City Ordinance violations in the Jacksonville District Court.
