The Jacksonville Police Department does not administer driver testing. The driver examination is administered by the Arkansas State Police on weekdays and the driver exam study guide can be accessed through the State Police website at www.asp.state.ar.us.

The Jacksonville District Court schedule is as follows: Mondays – Video Court @ 9:00 a.m. Tuesdays – Traffic Court @ 9:00 a.m. Wednesdays – Video Court @ 9:00 a.m., Small Claims Court @ 10:30 a.m., Criminal Court @ 1:30 p.m. Thursdays – Plea and Arraignment @ 9:00 a.m. Fridays – Video Court @ 9:00 a.m.

Our front office is opened from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all weekdays, excluding holidays.

Citizens requiring the services of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are not seen in our local office. An appointment to speak with the prosecuting attorney can be made through the main office in Little Rock. That number is 501-340-8100.

The Police Department does NOT provide driver manuals. Arkansas drivers manuals may be downloaded from the Arkansas State Police website or a copy may be obtained at the Arkansas State Police headquarters at Geyer Springs and I-30.

Incident reports can be purchased in our office for $2.00. Accident reports can be purchased in our office for $10.00 or online at www.cityofjacksonville.net .

The Jacksonville Police Department has a temporary holding facility ONLY. Persons requiring incarceration are transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.

Reports generally can be obtained on the day following the incident or accident.

Cash or credit and debit cards are accepted.

If someone has a warrant, they can turn themselves in on weekdays between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday at the Jacksonville Court Building at 1412 W. Main St. You need to enter through the back door (holding area) of the building and let someone know you have an active warrant and need to be seen by the judge. There will be a $25.00 warrant fee, which must be paid prior to release. To expedite the process, please have correct change.

We unlock vehicles ONLY in cases of emergency or if a child or animal are locked in the vehicle.

All fines and ticket payments must be made at the Jacksonville District Court Office located at 1400 W. Main St. (behind the Court Bldg./old police department). Any changes in court appearance scheduling must also be made at the District Court Office.
