Attention Dog Lovers!
Do you have a dog that loves to get out and play? Are you looking for a safe place for your dog to interact with other dogs? Then join us for 'Yappy Hour' on the first Sunday of each month from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Jacksonville Dog Park located in Dupree Park, 1700 Redmond Road (Water will not be available during the months of December through February due to winterization of the pipes in the park) . In the event of inclement weather, 'Yappy Hour' will be postponed until the second Sunday of the month.
"Park of the Month"
Join us each month as we showcase a different park with different activities. This is a perfect opportunity for people of all ages to come out and have fun and meet new people. All "Park of the Month" events will take place from 10 am - 12 pm unless noted differently.

Easter Egg Hunt March 23 COMMUNITY CENTER (due to rain)
Ages: walking to 10 Please arrive at Center at 10:00 am.
Everyone is invited to Jacksonville's largest Easter Egg Hunt! Children can participate in this holiday tradition in a fun and safe environment. The Easter bunny will make a special appearance, also. In the event of rain, all ages will meet at the Jacksonville Community Center at 10:00 am. Admission is free!

Underwater Easter Egg Hunt March 25 Community Center 6 pm - 8 pm
Children ages 5-12 can take hunting Easter Eggs to a different level at the Underwater Easter Egg Hunt. Admission is $5.00 and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club.

School Out Celebration and Movie in the Park
May 24 Spalsh Zone 6 pm - 9 pm Movie at Sundown
Join us as we celebrate the end of another school year and the beginning of summer at Splash Zone. Admission for Splash Zone will be $5.00 and the slides will be free. Take an evening swim and then stay watch a Moive in the Park.
Pool Side Cutie Contest June 8 Splash Zone 9 am - 11 am
Certificates and medals will be awarded to each child. Entry forms can be picked up at the Jacksonville Community Center, the Martin Street Youth Center, Splash Zone, or the Chamber of Commerce. For more information call Mary at 912-9422 or Dana at 982-0818.

This event will feature carnival rides, games, fun, food, music, 5K, fun, fishing derby, volleyball, fun and much much more.
Fishing Derby June 22
Lots of hungry fish will be biting at the Annual Fishing Derby at Dupree Park Lake. Prizes will be given and the derby is free.
Back to School Splash August 23
Ages 11-15 Splash Zone 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm $2.00 admission plus $1.00 to ride the slide
Regulation swim wear will be required.
Holiday Craft and Gift Sale
Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children

Jacksonville Fantasy in Lights Decorating Contest
Jacksonville--It is time to start thinking about decorating your home, church, or business for the holidays! Jacksonville A & P Commission, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, and the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring Jacksonville Fantasy in Lights Decorating Contest. Homes, streets, churches, and businesses must be signed up by December 16 Judging will take place December 17 after 6:00 pm. Call 982-0818 for more information.
