1)                  DOES THE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAVE DRIVERS TESTING? NO WE DO NOT. THE DRIVERS EXAM IS ADMINSTERED BY THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE MONDAY-FRIDAY EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS.

  

2)                  WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE JACKSONVILLE DISTRICT COURT? THE JACKSONVILLE DISTRICT COURT SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:  TUESDAY , AND THURSDAY OF EVERY WEEK AT 9:00 A.M.   ON WEDNESDAYS AT 9:00 A.M., 10:30 A.M.,   AND 1:30 P.M.  SMALL CLAIMS COURT BEGINS AT10:30 A.M. AND CRIMINAL COURT AT 1:30 P.M.

 

 

3)             HOW MANY OFFICERS DO YOU HAVE?   79

  

4)                  DOES THE JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PROVIDE SAFETY-APPROVED CAR SEATS? YES WE HAVE CAR SEATS AND OFFICERS TRAINED IN THEIR PROPER INSTALLATION.

  

5)                  WHAT ARE THE BUSINESS OFFICE HOURS OF OPERATION? BUSINESS HOURS FOR OUR FRONT OFFICE ARE 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 5:00 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS.

  

6)                  MAY I SEE THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY THERE? CITIZENS REQUIRING THE SERVICES OF THE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ARE NOT SEEN IN OUR LOCAL OFFICE. AN APPOINTMENT TO SPEAK WITH A PROSECUTING ATTORNEY CAN BE MADE THROUGH THE MAIN OFFICE IN LITTLE ROCK. THAT NUMBER IS (501)-340-8100.

  

7)                  ARE ARKANSAS DRIVERS LICENSE MANUALS AVAILABLE AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT? NO. THE ARKANSAS DRIVERS MANUAL MAY BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE WEBSITE : ASP.ARKANSAS.GOV, OR A COPY FROM BE OBTAINED AT ARKANSAS STATE POLICE HEADQUARTERS AT GEYER SPRINGS AND I-30.

  

8)                  HOW MUCH DO YOUR ACCIDENT AND INCIDENT REPORTS COST? JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT INCIDENT REPORTS MAY BE PURCHASED FOR THE SUM OF $2.00.  ACCIDENT REPORTS MAY BE PURCHASED FOR THE SUM OF $10.00. 9)                  DOES THE JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATE A  JAIL? THE JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATES A 24-HOUR DETENTION FACILITY. PERSONS REQUIRING EXTENDED INCARCERATION ARE TRANSPORTED TO THE PULASKI COUNTY REGIONAL DETENTION FACILITY.

  

10)              WHEN MAY I OBTAIN A COPY OF A REPORT? REPORTS GENERALLY CAN BE OBTAINED ON THE FOLLOWING DAY.

  

11)              CAN I BE FINGERPRINTED FOR EMPLOYEMENT, CITIZENSHIP, ETC., AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT? NO. THE JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT PROVIDE THAT SERVICE.  THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE DOES FINGERPRINT INDIVIDUALS FOR NON-CUSTODIAL PURPOSES.

  

12)              CAN I PAY FOR AN ACCIDENT OR INCIDENT REPORT WITH A CREDIT CARD? NO, CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

  

13)              WHERE DO I TURN MYSELF IN FOR WARRANTS? MONDAY- FRIDAY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. AND 4:00 P.M. YOU MAY TURN YOURSELF IN BY ENTERING THROUGH THE MAIN DOORS.  AFTER 4:00 P.M. YOU MAY TURN YOURSELF IN BY ENTERING THE REAR OF THE BUILDING AND SPEAKING WITH THE ON-DUTY DETENTION OFFICER. THERE IS A $25.00 WARRANT FEE  WHICH MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO RELEASE.  TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS PLEASE HAVE CORRECT CHANGE.

  

14)              DOES THE POLICE DEPARTMENT UNLOCK CARS? ONLY IN CASES OF EMERGENCY.

 

                         15)            CAN I PAY MY FINES OR TICKETS OR CHANGE MY COURT DATE AT THE   FRONT OFFICE? NO. ALL FINE AND TICKET PAYMENTS ARE MADE AT THE JACKSONVILLE DISTRICT COURT OFFICES DIRECTLY BEHIND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.  ANY CHANGES IN COURT APPEARANCE SCHEDULING MUST ALSO BE MADE AT THE DISTRICT COURT OFFICE.
