We are excited to announce Jacksonville Parks and Recreation is hosting the 2nd Annual Cupid Shuffle 5K Walk/Run, held on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 from 8am – 11am. Dupree Park’s USATF Certified Course (3.1 miles) will take participants through the City of Jacksonville! This is a chip-timed race! Registration can be found on  https://runsignup.com/Race/AR/Jacksonville/CupidShuffle5KRunWalk  and will remain open until February 5, 2021. Pre-registration is $25 or $35 Day-of-Registration. The Titans Obstacle Course is an obstacle race for kids ages 6-15 as an end-of-summer adventure that they won’t want to miss. Kids will navigate through fun and challenging obstacles including a mud run, slip n’ slide, tire run, balance beam walk, and many more! This event will take place on Saturday, August 7th at the Jacksonville Community Center, ending outside at the Farmers’ Market Pavilion! We will have waves going every 30 minutes from 9 am until noon. Participants will receive an official Titans Obstacle Course sweatband. Admission is $10 per participant. Get registered today! The Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department will host the 8th Annual FestiVille, a new and free community event, September 25 and September 26,2020. The city festival will feature Carnival Rides and Games, Live Entertainment, Canoes, Concessions, Commercial and Non-Commercial Booths, Volleyball Tournament, Petting Zoo, Kid’s Area, Fireworks & much more. The Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation and the City of Jacksonville were partners on construction of the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex. A state-of-the-art public shooting range facility at the intersection of Loop Road and Graham Road in Jacksonville. This multi-use complex is the largest of its kind in the state. It includes a 14 trap fields, three skeet overlays, three lit fields, two pavilions, a lake, and a 5,100 square foot Witt Stephens, Jr. Clubhouse that includes the First Security Learning Center. It’s Halloween time, ready or not. Meet us at JACKSONVILLE FARMERS MARKET (location change) parking lot. Park your car, pop the trunk and fill it up with lots of junk. Candy, treat – bring it all so the kiddies can have a ball. It’s free to get in and trick-or-treat safely with family. Join Jacksonville Parks and Recreation for Trunk or Treat at FARMERS MARKET on Saturday, October 31st from 5:30pm-8pm. There will be trunk contests, music, lots of candy, and more. Bring your car to the parking lot, decorate it, and bring candy to hand out to the little ones. If handing out candy isn’t your thing, volunteers are needed for the games and activities. CaptureChristmas Parade

63rd Annual Jacksonville REVERSE Christmas Parade

  • Main Street, Jacksonville
  • Saturday, December 5, 2020– 2:00 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, our Annual Christmas Parade will look a little different this year. The Jacksonville Parks & Recreation Department wants to keep the Christmas spirit alive by hosting a Reverse Christmas Parade on December, 5th from 2 pm - 4 pm. This parade features decorated floats and the featured guest, Santa, along with parade favorites: marching bands, floats, dance groups, and the fire department. The parade will begin at the corner of James St. and Main Street and will end at First United Methodist Church on Main Street. Admission is FREE! AR Department of Health guidelines will be enforced.
