I want to thank you for checking out our website and hope that you find the information helpful. Our department has a total of 48 sworn police officers, 10 civilian personnel, 4 transport officers, 1 auxiliary officers, 4 code enforcement officers and 2 civilian chaplains that all work together to provide the citizens of Jacksonville a professional department that they deserve.

The men and women of the Jacksonville Police Department have dedicated their lives to accomplish our simply stated mission: "The mission of the Jacksonville Police Department is to serve the citizens of Jacksonville and reduce crime and the fear of crime, and to improve the quality of life."

It is our goal to deliver quality service to the public that will instill faith and confidence in our department and uphold our core values of 'Service, Commitment, and Excellence."  We achieve this by recruiting the best individuals that are suited for our profession.
