2026 Citizen's Police Academy Application - Spring Session

  1. Participation Requirements
    1. Must be 18 years old.
    2. Must reside or work in the City of Jacksonville.
    3. Must consent to a background check and have no felony convictions or pending criminal cases.
    4. Must be able to participate in classroom hands-on activities, including firearms familiarization.
    5. Must commit to attending at least 6 out of the 8 sessions to receive a certificate.
    6. Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respect the rules of the Academy.

    • Dates:  April 21st - June 9th
    • Class Times:  Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 9:00pm
    • Application Deadline:  April 14th 2026
    • Academy will be limited to 20 participants.
